The use of D-Star with ATV
How useful would it be if you stand on the roof and you're busy to alignment a ATV transmitter, but do not know if the direction is correct ?.
In this case, We like to use amateur radio FM repeaters to connect the ATV remote station for QTE (What is the tru bearing in degrees to your station?)
But what if we can't use our radio to reach a local FM repeater??. Sure, we can use a Phone!. But.... we have to pay for this phone connection, and this money we better like to spend to our ATV hobby. ( we are Dutch and don't want to spend money :p ).
