My HamRadio trip to California USA
In the beginning of April'99, my friend Peter Kuypers PA3BXM and me took a trip to California USA to attend the 50th Northern and Southern California DX association-DX Convention in Fresno.

During our stay we visited the HMS Queen Mary, who lies in the Los Angeles Harbor. On this ship, in the old radio room, there is a HamRadio station that is manned by members of the W6RO ClubStation. Of course we took the oppurtunity to operate from this unique location !! |

Here you see an example of how Americans do their mobile operations. I was wondering how this guy keeps his antenna in the right direction while taking turns !! This was one example of the fantastic antennas we saw on cars. |
