- Calculation of the gain of a parabolic antenna.
- A dipole has a gain of 2.14 dBi.
- This gain is only valid in the far field, it will be lower in the near field.
- Far Field: R(m) > (2 * D * D) / (300 / F(MHz)). D is the maximum dimension of the antenna in meters.
