Subj:    2004 ARRL International EME Contest 3rd message
Date:   3/14/04 8:08:48 PM Eastern Standard Time
From:   [email protected] (Lionel H. Edwards)
To:     [email protected]
CC:     [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

To All EME Stations:

Another problem has arisen with dates for the ARRL International EME Contest.

Mario, I1ANP has advised me the Italian Contest will be help on Sept 11/12.
Therefore, The following dates are no longer an option for the ARRL Contest:

Sept 11/12 Italian EME Contest
Nov 6/7      European Terrestrial Contest

This means the only dates with GOOD/MODERATE conditions and POSITIVE
DECLINATION are:

Oct 9/10 and Dec 4/5

Oct 30/31 and Nov 27/28 have good declination but high sky noise and are
very close to new moon consequently they will have POOR conditions overall.

For those of you who have already advised me of dates other than Oct 9/10
and Dec 4/5, please send me an E Mail stating your wishes no later than
March 31.

What seemed easy, has turned out to be difficult!!

73,
Lionel, VE7BQH

Hi Joe,

Could you mention that I am looking for a heater transform for a TH327.
I believe I need 6 Volts (5.7 V) at about 35 amps.  I am trying to get a
bigger PA for 1296 going.

BTW I checked the NF of the transverter we were using on 13 cm EME last
weekend and it was > 22 dB!  With the preamp added we had about 4.5 dB
NF.

I am looking for skeds with PA5DD, PA0BAT, SM2ILF among other new
stations on 70 cm, and on 1296 with SK0UX, ON4QQ, G3IQR and IK2RTI.  CW
or JT44/65 is fine.

73, Al - K2UYH

N2IQ would like to appologize to all for not reporting  his ARRL EME  contest
score to contest manager last fall.  He had report ready to mail  and
just forgot to mail in on time.   His report would have included 97 QSOs
and 40 multiplers on 70 CM single op.   Clearly the blame lies with N2IQ
and he congratulates all for participating.  Mark will try a little harder next year.

Hi 432 EME:ers

12 QSO in  8 hours.  Lot of inband spurious, no filter in the world can fix that. SK0CC can
only work when “minimum side lobe in horizon “ occurs. Still having 3 dB TX feed loss.
BUT the just hear a EME signal makes one going ...I have a lot of fun
...thanks all 432 EME:ers.
