Hi Joe,

Just done PA tuning, a 400 to 1000 slug is buried at 500++ watts on the
bird meter...
Hv is 1500 @ 800 ma drifts to 1000 ma, grid is 140 ma at this time..

I show 250 watts at the dish....
This was checked against my 250 watt .95 to 1.3 GHz slug and reads 20%
low..

Need more water flow on the tubes is needed and will be good, will work
on that this week..

One thing that I have done is install a separate bias on each tube,
under power the plate current is major different to each tube, what I
did was adjust each tube to be 250 mills at full power, this equaled
them all and makes great smoke out the coax..

will need to do a bit of wiring yet to be in operation Sunday run on
moon..

best tom

Hi Joe,

regarding Sked Weekends and ARRL contest; my comment :

March, April & May are ok.
June is close to the sun; June 12/13 is a better choise for 432.
July-Aug seems ok,
sept. 4/5 we have the biggest Eu 2m contest, but that doesn't care on 432 &
above. Sept. 11/12 looks better for 2m.

ARRL ooohhh, big problem!!
Declination is best on oct. 2/3, but gives a conflict with european IARU 432 &
up contest.
VK3UM & ZS6AXT would prefer oct. 9/10 (I believe!) as well and background on 2m
is much cooler. I like to make the tropo contest & EME contest, so my favor is
oct. 9/10 for ARRL contest part 1.
To compensate low decl. in part1 I would choose oct. 30/31 for part 2; that has
higher background but higher declination.

Nov-27/28 & Dec-25/26 are ok.
