Murphy reigns at K9RZ.  We have spent most of the day attempting to
rectify problems with aiming the 432 MHz dish and other related
problems.  Also, we had a storm come up suddenly this afternoon with
lots of wind which knocked out the alignment of the dish and the polar
rotor.  Fortunately, it did not damage the dish, but three of us were
hanging on the tag lines to keep it from going over.  Now, the 432 MHz
amplifier is also down.

A post mortem on the 144 MHz  M2 yagi array after the failed 144 MHz
attempts this morning revealed a problem with phasing between the driven
elements on the 2 yagis.  We now have that corrected and hope to have
better luck tomorrow at our moon rise.  I am not sure we can swing the
array for our moon set late tonight due to space constraints.  Again, we
are limited to about 7 degree maximum elevation on this antenna.

Assuming we can get everything up and running, we will try again tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your patience.  We hope to deliver at least a few
QSO's for all this effort.

Bill, K9RZ

Hi Joe,

In case I don't get to the net in time tomorrow, I worked I4TTZ  on 10 GHz
EME with O copy both ways this afternoon for initial #34.  Nothing heard
from OK1CA earlier.

Hello Joe,
Listened on 1296 this afternoon from 2000 - 0000 UTC and scanned
up and down between 1296.000 and 1296.100 for random activity.
Unfortunately found no activity during that time. I will try again about

this same time Sunday and hope to work my first 1296 Contact.

I missed my sked with KL6M . Again, the problem I have is not knowing
when I get home from work. The sked was scheduled for 0430 UTC and I did
not
get home till 0530 UTC. Sometimes weekdays are a bad time for me.

Hope to work more guys on 432 and 1296. As of today I have 0 people
worked
on 1296 and only 2 on 432. Beginning to think the antennas are too small
for those bands
but unfortunately that's all I can put up on this small lot.

Didn't bother even checking with the skeds for W0WD/0. Because it looked
like the skeds were canceled
due to elevation problems on his end and I have no way to verify what
the new skedtimes
and frequencies for both 2 meters and 432 were.

We will again check 1296 for activity again Sunday. On 1296, I have a
minimum elevation
limit of 30 degrees but can go all the way up to 90.

Hi Joe,

I am sitting here at 1550z listening to nothing much more than hiss on 14.345.

My results so far this weekend have been bleak.  I got lots of emails, not
QRV or cancel, which I really appreciate.  Out of 14 June I only had a
repeat with SKØCC and a partial with S51ZO.

Better luck on 15 June: HB9SV was very strong random (549/559) but not a
new one.  Worked I5CTE for a new country and inital #118, and
PA2CHR(O/O)#119.  KO7N(539/529) had a very nice signal.

Others heard this weekend: OH2DG, K5WXN, WA4NJP, G3LTF, K1FO, all very good
signals.

I have skeds today with:

16 June 2200z 432.040 DF6NA  -KL6M
17 June 0230z 432.040 VK3FMD -KL6M

Any others welcome.

After today I am off the air with major remodeling of the shack, and
trenching in my cables, az/el motor replacements, and possibly new feed
mount.

Tnx & 73
