We are now into winter propagation (lack of it) so I won't be checking into
net very successfully until spring. I will probably still try off and on.
I operated 70cm for last weekend's contest, but had a few problems. Lost
the preamp right in the beginning of my already too short European window.
Replaced it and got back on the air but had to leave early on Sunday due to
10th wedding anniversary. Managed to work 27 QSOs.
I have been a bit slack on my notes and webpage updates due to a major
computer failure which I am still fighting.
I plan to be on 70cm again for the second leg. I need to get the word out
to the Europeans that if they want the Alaskan multiplier they must listen
closely for me right at the beginning of the contest 10 Nov. 0000z around
432.012 for about an hour or less.
I will be trying for Europe again at my moonrise 10 Nov. 1200z for only an
hour and a half. The next window at my moonset is fairly useless, and the
next moonrise is not too good either, but I will still be there trying.
I will be open for skeds for new initials 3 Nov. 0430-0800z and 1330-2000z.
