W2UHI: did get on 23cm last night, and called 9H1ES and there he was..
9H1ES responded with just call signs, no reports, last 2 sequences
Frank called right on his frequency, and Frank still did not rcv
reports. Frank reports that Fortunado had an S3 signal and he
reports that 9H1ES was right on schedule but maybe a couple of
khz low according to Frank's calibration.. Thanks to 9H1ES for
being there and trying..
KB8RQ/M:
W7MEM: worked K5JL.. also after sked with WB0GGM, thought N9AB was calling
but then thought, N9AB worked someone else.. Not complete with
N9AB.. only completion for sure was K5JL.. does VE6TA work tropo
on 70cm.. (can, but not setup at this time).. will be QRV next
sked weekend..
K2DH: has to redo the dish mount for the 28' dish.. The 18' dish is available
and all inquiries got to k2dh@frontiernet.net .. Also included is the
mount and controls.. There is no reason why the surface cannot be re-
used..Dave is giving an EME presentation next Friday eve and would like
to have some activity on 23cm tonight to record and present..
K5JL: W7MEM #727.. KL7HFQ had a good signal all the time.. band was peculiar..
also worked K6JEY, W7CI, W4ZRZ.. Called K4EME many times with no reply.
VE3AX: Peter.. on 222 still refining system.. and 2 meters..
W5LUA: working on 24ghz LNAs.. what time for K2DH.. was echo testing on 24ghz
with weak results..
K9BCT/M: OZ6OL on 23cm a new one.. only one worked .. will be on later tonight.
what time for K2DH.. good echoes..
9H1ES: always on time on 23cm sked last night. When the sun came up, checked
sun noise, and it was OK. nil heard from W2UHI & VE6TA. will try to
check out the system and make more checks on the receive system.
The VE4MA feedhorn looking from the the rear .. only using one port
and this could be the reason.. it is the problem because rcv is rev pol.
DL9KR: no traffic..
PA3CSG: ask how much solar activity effects sun noise on 10ghz.. How much
sun noise are others getting on 10ghz ??? Geert is getting 16db ..
VE6TA: ?? No copy from 9H1ES .. now has more power out of amp.. 20w drive
360w out..
KA0RYT: QRV on 70cm.. 14x13 on Dubus.. Correction.. did hear some from N1BUG
and tried using logger and worked a couple.
CT1DMK: for Geert .. 14db sun noise under-illuminating.. was on 5.7ghz last
week.. test circular with good results.. about 1.5-1.6 db moon noise
and nly worked LX1DB.. antenna is not operational at this time ..
must get back to work on the mechanics..
OK1MVD: fell asleep .. and missed sked.. VARO !!
KA0Y: will put 23cm in
N1BUG: will run with KA0Y tonight on 222.100 0400z..

Joe-
Just a note to let you know. I have fixed temporarily the water
problems I have been having. Contacted AL7OB on random on local Friday
night. Nice signals. Thanks to Mike for all his hard work.
I think I can be considered to be available for schedules. Still
working on the 8938 amplifier and hope to get it on soon.

Joe- Worked K5JL on 432 last night on random. Very nice signals. He was 559
and I received a 539. I also heard two other stations just after that on
.012 but did not copy complete calls. Using an SSB Eng. preamp with about
.3db nf. Same 500 watts output.
Looking for more skeds, etc.

Well, I was there but all I heard was, depending on the degree of
polarization, either one constant signal (carrier) or two constant
signal (carriers). Strange to say the least. I could see two signals
on the AF9Y's dsp program when the array was at 45 degrees polartization
and only one constant signal at 0 degrees and 90 degrees. There was no
way I could copy and EME signal through it/them.
I think that we need to try earlier in the day. It seems, at least from
past experience, that the earlier the better, because the signal degrade
the later you get, at least from my perspective and up here in the
Tundra.
Well see you later and happy snow plowing. I think you people have a
big snow fan down there as we keep getting more and more snow. I think
you're blowing it up here.

I always read the netnotes - We are refurbushing our home and there is
little peaceful place to sit and radio... Nevertheless, I will be in Dayton
at the Hamvention. Is there an EME onsite, gathering or meeting point? Would
appreciate to meet some of you guys - If someone needs kind of equippment,
let me know.
I had 2 qso on 23cm last weekend: HA5SHF with good signal 539 and G4CCH 579.
