Since I started my HAM operations, I have been building my own transceivers, antenna's and other systems, have been a VHF/UHF-DX-er and contester from the late 70's to the mid 80's, including the annual Field Days Contests on HF, VHF & UHF. Although not operation at this time I own systems ranging from 2m up to 13cm, most of them home brew or modified to fit my needs.

I'm member of the VERON, VRZA, PWGN and AMSAT Life Member #1802. In the local branch of the VERON, I have been part of the local board since 1988 and still am.  Since it's foundation in 1985, I'm involved in running the local VERON news letter CQ Friese Wouden, together with a team of dedicated HAM's.. I was awarded with the VERON Golden Pin in 1995.

I operate a Packet Radio Station, dedicated to the local branch of the VERON (Amateur Radio Society). The station includes Multi-point Access Nodes (PI1FWD / PI8FWD) at 2m & 70cm up with speeds from 1k2 to 9k6, a packet BBS (PI8FWD), DX Cluster (PI8DXF), APRS Node (PI1FWD) and a 23cm Interlink (PI1FWD). The systems incorporates 4 Transceivers & Antenna's, 6 networked PC's and Home Brew Software for System Statistics, Management. & Control.

Also QRV on 6m in Phone and CW

I also operate the Web Site for the local VERON Branch, you'll find it under www.a63.org
