Comments, January 2008.

M1DUD. 6 QSO's Very low conditions, weak meteor reflections and deep Fading on Inter-G contacts. Heard a GW station in IO83 breifly QNH1024 Best DX 5Q6M in JO55 695 kilometers peaking 2dB took 30 Minutes to complete!
5Q6M.
Generally low activity with rather poror Ms ConDX. A surprise was an short opening to the North Atlantic, where both a JT6m and a SSB QSO with OY3JE (IP62) was made. Contacts at Ms were M1DUD (JO02) and S57RR (JN63). On flat Condx PC7M, SM7CMV and 5P6M was worked. ODX was S57RR in JN63UM at 1342 Km.

Comments, February 2008.

M1DUD. 10 QSO's ODX PA0GHB 194 kms. Deep QSB and static from North-west, QNH 1010mB. I Worked all I could hear.
5Q6M. Manned by OZ6OM, OZ8GA & OZ9CQ. We had vy poor conDX - and some equipment failure, just wkd. 1 stn. an I stn. at JT6m and hrd. a G3. - nothing else. Sorry to those who called without having an answer, failure was in this end.

Comments, March 2008.

M1DUD. 12 QSOs made in some very poor band conditions. Deep Fading and constant Static (QRN) made operation difficult. The ON and LX Beacons were not audible during the contest. ODX was 5Q6M on JT6M 696Kms taking 12 Minutes to complete and peaking 5dB. I was very pleased to complete 2 way QRP with Patrick ON3PY for his first ON-G contact on six. Most of the time he was 31 but peaked 53 and enabled us to complete. With such poor conditions I was surprised to work M0WLF in IO81 (287 Kms) peaking 54. Very poor inter G activity. QNH 1004 mB.
M5BXB. Band conditions were very flat....again!!! Not much heard from PA, OZ this time. Maybe better next month.
5Q6M. worked 5P6M and OZ8ZS on flat ConDX, on MS M1DUD (JO02), ES3RF (KO29 & EI2IP (IO61) was worked with JT6m. further M5BXB was hrd. briefly on SSB. ODX was EI2IP in IO61CX at 1255 Km.

Comments, April 2008.

M1DUD. 9 QSO's. ODX 5Q6M (JO55) 696 kms took only 6 minutes to complete QNH 1016mB rising. Noisy band conditions weak tropho. LX Beacon only just audible.
M5BXB. Not much heard from PA, OZ again this time. I spent a lot of time beaming to OZ, PA, but very little heard. Maybe most activity was on JT6M or CW, but nothing much on SSB. Perhaps things will change next month.
5Q6M. Manned by OZ6OM & OZ9CQ. On flat ConDX OZ2LP (JO55) and DL2NO (JO43). Fine MS ConDX, 5 G stations and one F station. ODX was F1VS in JN04FV at 1363 Km.

Comments, May 2008.

I heard loudly, but was unable to work TF8GX with a huge EU pile up. Also worked was LZ1ZP at 2070 KMS. Best 6m contest for a long while. QNH1016 mB with huge Thunderstorms approaching.
M5BXB. At last a couple of OZ's!!! Some SM's and OH's too. Good E's to Scandinavia and to Eastern Europe and Greece. Very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone for the points. ODX - SV9CVY, KM25ka, 2717km DXCC - 20. Regards, Steve Burrows M5BXB.

Comments, June 2008.

M1DUD. An memorable evening with 19 QSO's. A mixture of trophoscatter and short, medium and long-distance sporadic e propagation. ODX EA8/DL6FAW (3043 KMs) and EA6DX were worked at the start of the test. Several EA1, EA2, EA3 stations were worked around 1730 before Sporadic E gave way to Trophoscatter. Heavy Thunderstorms were reported in the Bay of Biscay around 1900. In the last 15 minutes of the test there was Short skip of around 850KMs and F5LQ and F6GPT were worked. EI2IP (IO61) was also worked (627KM) I heard several CT and EA1 stations working OH OZ LA, but I was unable to hear any scandinavians myself! QNH 1022.
M5BXB. Where were all the OZ's!!!. No E's to Scandinavia. Spent long periods searching for OZ, SM, LA but none heard. Short skip to France and Spain. Still, very enjoyable. Seemed to be low activity this time. Thanks to everyone for the points.
