RADIO CLUB YPRES P.O.BOX 32
8900 Ypres - Belgium
ON7FF
This is the site of Radio Club Ypres, started in the late 70's with the clubcallsign ON7FF, which is from that time on, yearly QRV around the date of November 11th, Rememberance Day.
The suffix FF is the abreviation of Flanders Fields, the name of the region where this station is located and also the name of the famous poem "In Flanders Fields" written by John McCrae at the Ypres Salient.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
Every evening, since 1928, at the Meningate, the local firemen plays the LAST POST on the bugle, the place where so many thousands advanced in line towards the front.
