About us

• "South Flanders DX Activity Group" is a group of radioamateurs who want's to active support our HAM hobby in any way they should find suitable. Everyone in our group is open for all initiatives, diciplines, modes (HF,VHF,SAT...) and considers every HAM as a true HAM. It's the purpose to learn from each other and support one and other as true friends to make us proud to be a HAM. Every year we will activate special activities so every member can help in it's own right and without any obligation to this. All in one: our group doesn't forget what "Ham-spirit" is all about!
  

• We will acitvate 3 or 4 times a year a special amateur radio activation. Every activation is prepared very carefully and with the highest possible professionalism. These activities will be announced on this site and in the packet radio network.
  

• Who can join our group: every one who want's to active support our amateur radio hobby in any way. And who accept the following rules:

  • Respect for anyones opinion in the broadest sence of the word.

  • Expences are shared by every one in the group (activities, licences etc...)

  • A new member will be introduced by a existing member of our group after which the group decides if the member will or can be accepted in the group.

• F/ON6JUN/P and the Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of D-Day, June 2004
  The South Flanders DX Activity Group was active in June 2004 with a special event station to commemorate the 60 anniversary of the landing in Ranville Normandy! Please check-out our special page where you'll find the latest info about this unique DXpedition.
  If you also organise a D-Day DXpedition or have other relevant info about 60th anniversary of D-day then please write to us at:
  This special event station will be on air again from the 4th (evening) until the 6th of June 2004.
  Because of the visit of Prince Charles of Wales on the 5th of June on the premises, our QTH will not be the garden of Memorial Pegasus Museum. The very strict security measures related to this visit forced us to look for a new location to set-up our station.
  The lord-mayor of Ranville was so kind to give us permission to use the sport complex of Ranville, so we have enough space to set up the stations. This QTH is only about 1 km away from Pegasus Bridge, so our location is still very strategic.
