The story of "Bora Bora" (IOTA OC-067) and the tiny islet "Motu Tane".
The island of "Bora Bora" belongs to the Leeward Islands group of French Polynesia, and is situated 259km to the north-east of Tahiti. Separated from the principal island by a magnificent deep blue lagoon are a number of small islets. One of them, "Motu Tane" is privatly owned and belongs to the family of the famous French polar explorer Paul Emile Victor (1907-1995). "PEV" fabricated his paradise with his own hands and lived there for more than thirthy years to the end of his days. Conforming with his last wishes, he was given a burial at sea outside the barrier reef of Bora-Bora, forever a part of this environment that he had learned to love even more than that of the Polar Ice.
