y name is Marian and I am born in the Venice of the North, the city Bruges. I live in the city Maldegem which is located 14 km to the east of Bruges.

I have my licence since 1982. In the beginning I was quite often on the air and in a short time I had lots of friends. I was curious about what females could do as radioham and searched on the radio looking for ladies. I met some friendly young ladies of different YL clubs, all active as a committee member. Receiving the YL newsletter from clubs of several countries is always very interesting, therefore I became a member of the following clubs:

• The Young Ladies Radio Leaque "YLRL"
• The Japan Ladies Radio Society "YLRS"
• The YL Australian Radio Association "ALARA"
• The Yl Radio Club Italy "YLRCI"
• The British Young Ladies Amateur Radio Association "BYLARA"
• The Dutch YL club "DYLC"
• The Brazilian YLs "BYL"

Since 1993, I am the chairwoman of the Bruges Radio Club.

The year 2001, I felt that it would be nice to do something in my own city Maldegem. Therefore, we set up a pilon and nice antennas at the parking of the Canadian WAR Museum. Being responsible for the callsign, I will be on the radio often with ON4CWM. Because, for me is this the place to be!
