Subject : Request for "sponsorship", Your support will be highly appreciated

1. After successful DX-peditions such as:
a. Tonga and Samoa ( 1998-A35XU and 5W0GD)
b. Samoa (1999-5W0GD)
c. North and South Cook (2000-ZK1AXU)
d. Kiribati and Nauru ( 2001-T30XU and C21XU), I have found time to go abroad again. All the above trips have been documented on the Web (accessible via www.qsl.net/on4axu ). Please note that at the time of these trips I had the call: PA3AXU.

2. Investigations, including research on the most-wanted lists ( such as http://www.425dxn.org/surv2003/most_to.htm ) has brought me to the decision to be active from French Polynesia ( number 144), Austral ( number 63 ) and Marquesas ( number 39 ) in May-June 2004. Although numbers might have changed a little thanks to other activities in 2003, I assume these DXCC entities are still high on the "most wanted lists".

Rigs : FT-857 and IC-706 Mk II with lineair 500 Watts
Ant : GPA-30, dipoles, 5 el 50 MHz beam

c. Modes
SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV
Bands : 1.8 – 50 MHz

d. Logging : DXBase

e. A ‘trip report’ for publication will be provided to all sponsors.

e. QSL Policy: Return as received
Sponsorship will be acknowledged by printed logo on QSL.
Sponsor leaflets will be enclosed as required in ‘return direct QSL’s’.

f. Estimated cost :
Travel : Roundtrip : Amsterdam-Papeete : 2000 Euro
Island hopping : 1000 Euro.

Lodging/food 50 Euro/day x 30 = 1500 Euro

Grand total 4500 EURO ( equals about USD 4000 )
