VXO-exciter - DF3LP, modified by OM2TW Driver and PA with IRFP640 (50W out) Coil 2mH + variometer 0.4-1.1mH Variometer inside
This is my first transmiter for 136kHz. It's based on DF3LP project with some modifications. Loading coil is made on the plastic pipe (62cm long and 16cm in diameter). The coil inductance is 2mH and the variometer 0.4-1.1mH. It was calculated for a bit short antenna (about 100m). Finaly we do it about 160m long. Therfore the coil was long enough.
Towers 21m high From tower to trees Another view of towers Loading coil with variometer at the base of the tower
Here are two towers in my low band QTH in Sintava, near Sered about 100m from the river Vah. It's a very quite place, I'm working from this place on 160m and 80m, special in the contests. Both towers are more than 21m high with about 1m in diameter. Vertical section is near the left tower about 21m long, 36m horizontal section between towers and 100m section slooping from the right tower (21m high) to the trees on the right side (about 10m above the ground) and I used only 4 radials on the snow (15-30m long).
My LF workplace I'm calling CQ on 136kHz First QSO in the log...HB9DCE, 22.1.2000 - 1716Z on 136.9 - 559/569 Milan OM2KM operating on 80m with our clubstation callsign OM3KIB/p
This is my hamshack in my low band QTH. It looks fine, but there was pretty could inside (when we start build the station, there was -5 celsius). So looks my workplace during tests (pic.1) and me calling CQ on 136.9 (pic.2), first QSO is in log (pic.3) and my friend Milan OM2KM operating OM3KIB/p on 80m (pic.4).

This are a few pictures around the loading coil at the base of the tower. My friends Milan OM2KM and Milan OM3TWJ (pic.2)., me and OM3TWJ (pic.3).
