My main target is build an effective contest station for SOAB activities. During a long period a lot of different kind of antenna solution has been experimented.

A good hamshack is one of the base thing in long contests. During summer 2001 we finished a hamshack reparation project which is designed espicially to contesting.

Even we don't have so much land or forrest to put up a lot of masts, we erected a fullrotating 36m steelmast to support main antennas(now there is Al-pipe at the top of mast holding 4th tribander, so total length is 41m).

I have tested stacked monobanders for 5/5 for 15m and 4/4 for 20m, but because lack of enough vertical space, I noticed some coupling problems.

Now I have make a compromise and powered main tower with 4 homemade tribanders and 3-el 40m fullsizer monoband yagi.

This construction is quite similar than OH1JT & Co. has made in OH0Z. Thanks for OH1JT for all supporting information and help.

I have also fixed mast for second direction antennas. This is next project target. There will be two stacked tribander for second direction.

Next summer there will be plans to erect one and hopefully last steelmast for second radio. This mast will hold a couple of tribanders at fixed directions. Overall length will be abt. 30m. Some discussion with our neighbours is on the way because I have to borrow their land.

For low bands I'm going to build an vertical antenna, which is quarter wave length at 80m and top-loaded at 160m. All material is ready. Only a lot of work is needed. This project is timed to winter 2001. Before that I'll use propably wire verticals and dipoles on low bands.
