Hi,

Just to let your readers know, the license fee in YJ is now 563 VT, inclusive of VAT. (That's about US$4.91!) I will sent further info after my trip to YJ in August 2004.

Hi, License Fee of YJ in August this year (2000) was 632 VT. It had been 500 VT in 1995 and 1999. An icecream in front of "Centre Point" was now 150VT. 100VT in 1995 and 1999.....hi. Please care of your luggage when checking in airport for departure. Because of my luggages including TRCV, generator, coaxials, keyer, camera, power supply, tools and clothes were not received in Japan. Regards, Masayoshi Mihara JE1DXC/ex-YJ0AXC [email protected]

I visited Vanuatu last month on vacation and was able to obtain an amateur radio licence with a callsign 'YJ0ACF.' My licence was dated August 18, 1999. Licencing information on your internet site was very helpful during the preparation. I would like to thank you very much for this.

Following information might be useful for those amateurs considering operations in Vanuatu in the future: Name of the Managing Director, Telecom Vanuatu Ltd. Daniel FERMINE

I stayed three nights at Aore Resort, Aore Island, about 3 km south from Luganville, Espiritu Santo Island. Its URL is ' www.aore.net .' Though I had to take a domestic flight by a small plane to get there, the bungalow assigned to me (#16) seemed to have ideal conditions for radio. It is close to a beach to the north and has ample space to the west.
I made about 500 QSO's, of which roughly half were EU's. QSL route is via JA1JCF, via bureau or direct.
