Hello there,
I have today telephoned the Barbados telecommunications re a licence when I visit in April
this year, I was informed that one can obtain a licence on arrival in the island. I was
advised that one should inform the customs officials on arrival that I was a licenced
radio amateur in my own country, show them my equipment and inform them that I would be
applying for a licence. I hope this helps, the webb site application form would appear to
be only for Barbadian nationals who wish to obtain a licence.

Hello again Veke,
I now have the telephone number direct to the PTT, +1 246 426 2669. I was told that if I
attend at their office I can be issued with a licence on production of my UK licence. The
cost is $40 Barbadian dollars, they are fixed at 2 to the American dollar at the moment,
so 20 dollars American. I was asked if I knew anyone in Barbados, when I replied
"No" I was told that it was not a problem and they could find someone. (I assume
that this is something to do with the reference in the application for a Barbadian licence
that they must have someone who can say they have known them for 5 yrs.)
I hope this is of use to others.
73 de Allan.
