Subject: Re: FW: Reciprocal Licensing In Jamaica

John,
The trouble has not been in getting a license. The difficulty is bringing the equipment into the country. The requirements vary based on who you ask. On my last visit I had a Jamaican license with my equipment listed on it. When I arrived customs told me I needed to post a bond of $300. The people who issue the licenses, The Spectrum Management Authority, SMA seem to be unaware of this requirement.
