4th Rope Length
In the beginning of the fourth ropelength I met 40
years ago the most difficult obstacle: Walter was belaying me as I tried to find a
place for a piton. At last I coud hammer in a hole three or four shortest
possible Cassin pitons - their length only 2 cm. When I continued towards the
big hole - called 'Olavi Castle' - in the black area of the wall, the route
became easier to open leading me finally to a band, which covers the whole wall breadth.
From there the final and fifth rope length leads quite easily to the top of the
Torre North.
4th Rope Length
Nell'inizio della quarta lunghezza ho trovato 40 anni fa il posto
più difficile: Walter mi ha assicurato mentre ho provato a trovare un posto per un
chido. In fine ho martellato tre o quattro piccolissimi chiodi Cassin, forse lunghi
soltanto di 2 centimetri. Quando sono
continuato verso il foro grande - 'Castello di Olavi' - nella zona
nera della parete, l'itinerario è diventato più facile da aprire conducendo
infine ad una fascia, che solca tutta la parete. Di là la quinta ed ultima lunghezza conduce abbastanza facilmente
sulla cima di Torre.
