Sporadic-E Observations 1998 - 2000 by OE8FNK
All Sporadic-E Observations are processed from the automated radio meteor setup at the radio meteor observatory by OE8FNK. The Program FFTDSP42 by AF9Y ist used for recording, the resulting FFT-pictures are inspected for the presence of Sporadic-E or FAI signatures, and the corresponding pictures (in 200 second segments) are classified as "Interference", "meteor only", "FAI (field-aligned irregularities)", or "Sporadic-E". While the sensitivity of the System is quite high (FFTDSP is used for EME, detecting the weakest possible signals), the system monitors only a small north - south path, from southern Austria, to Sicilia, Italy.
