Minutes of the NYSPTEN In Person Policy
Committee Meeting 2008
- The meeting was called
to order at noon. All were welcomed and introductions were made. There were
21 people attending.
- The minutes of last
year’s meeting were read and approved.
- The treasury has
$129.00 before any donations were made at this meeting.
Old Business:
- It was decided by the
members to leave the preamble as is; i.e. stations would not be asked to
list their traffic’s destination and quantity upon check in. Also Pete N2YJZ
gave a reminder to update your info with him for the web site Member’s page
so that other members may contact you.
- Members were urged to
volunteer for NCS and alternate NCS duties. Bruce WA3AFS, Ed N2JBA and Stu
WA2BSS spoke up to be Alternate Net Controls. In addition, Phil KC2PNI will
look to start a spread sheet so that he may start as back up to Harold KD2V
in receiving daily net reports.
New Business:
- The NYSPTEN annual
picnic will be held August 16, 2008 at Pete N2YJZ’s and Heidi’s QTH in
Woodstock NY.
- Certificates were
awarded to Stu WA2BSS, Warren WB2NOG, Jerry AB2B, Jack WB2GHH, George
WB2IIV, Shelly AA2Y, Bruce WA3AFS, and Julian WA2WMJ. Plaques were awarded
to Hal AK2E and Harold KD2V. KD2V’s plaque will be a special commemorative
one in view of his many consecutive years of service as a net officer.
