My name is Mike Nickolaus and my Ham Radio Callsign is NFØN. I hold an Extra Class license and have been licensed since 1964. My previous callsign was WAØKGD. I live in South Sioux City Nebraska with my wife Dianne and grandson Philip age 12. We have lived here since 1981 having lived previously in Monroe New York and Lincoln Nebraska. I currently work for IBP, Inc. and have been employed by them for 3 years. I am retired from the IBM Corporation having retired with 30 years of service.
My hobbies are Ham Radio and Bicycling. My Ham Radio experiences include working over 300 countries, worked all USA Counties, and have over 2000 prefixes collected. I have been the Sysop of a Packet Bulletin board system for over 12 years. I have assumed the duties of the Chairman of a yearly Ham Radio Convention that is held in South Sioux City Nebraska each year. I usually bicycle over 3000 miles each year going on the Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) and doing at least one week of self-contained riding with my Lightining P-38 recumbent.
