The Newark Communications Volunteers is a group of ARES, RACES, and GMRS radio operators serving the city of Newark California through the Newark Police Department. We provide emergency communications in time of emergency or disaster and provide communication services for civic functions.

Policy Statement

The Newark Communications Volunteers, when called upon, shall provide emergency communications services for the city of Newark, California. Our priorities are the:

  • Preservation of lives,
  • Protection of critical facilities,
  • Protection of the environment/public health,
  • Protections and restoration of infrastructure and,
  • Preservation of private and public property.
