1. From I-495 Capital Beltway, take I-66 west toward Front Royal.
2. Take second exit (Rte 123) north toward Oakton.
3. At second light (Jermantown Road), turn left.
4. At 1.0 mile on Jermantown Rd, turn right at 2nd light (Oakton Rd).
5. At 0.6 mile on Oakton Rd, turn right onto Miller Heights Rd. (Note: this is difficult to see. If you get to a traffic light, you have gone too far).
6. At the third left, turn left onto Cranbrook Lane.
7. At the second right, turn right onto Saddlestone Ct. We are on the northwest corner of the intersection of Cranbrook Ln. and Saddlestone Ct. There is a small tribander on a 50 foot tower at the back of the house. Park in the driveway or on the street.

The Annual Meeting of NCDXA was held on October 17, 2009 at the home of Ben W4FQT and Wanda Baddley in Oakton, VA
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM by President, Dick Maylott W2YE who expressed the appreciation of the NCDXA Members to the Baddleys for hosting the meeting and proceeded with introductions of members and guest which included the wives of all the hosts homes where we meet throughout the year.
The Secretary's report was accepted as submitted by George Vincent K3GV.
No Treasurer's report was given by Brian Bayus N1KC whose computer is kaput. However he noted that NCDXA donated $400 to the Glorioso DXpedition and $150 to the Midway Dxpedition.This has merited the NCDXA logo on the respective websites.
It was the noted that the esatate of Dave Hammond WC4B netted $3756.64 of which Dave's wife Marlene KB4FAS donated half to NCDXA. Marlene then addressed the membership and asked that the donation be spent on contributions to DXpeditions and encouraging new members as Dave would have wished. Marlene also offered to continue having the December meeting at her home and the meeting date for this December was decided to be December 19th.
A motion was made by Brian Bayus N1KC and seconded by Hope Smith WB3ANE that Dave Hammond WC4B be made an Emeritus Member of NCDXA. After discussion the motion passed.
A motion was then made by George Vincent K3GV and seconded by Dennis Bodson W4PWF that Marlene Hammond KB4FAS be made an Honorary Member of NCDXA. After discussion the motion passed.
The President then called on John Kanode N4MM, for a report on ARRL activities .John stated that FT5GA was approved for DXCC credit. He also mentioned the CQ WAZ award for working all 40 zones from November 1, 2009 until December 31, 2010.
The President then called on K3ZO for a report on the W3 Bureau activities. Fred Laun, Bureau Manager, reported that as of a month ago there was a 35% increase in activity as compared to last year. The ARRLBureau is still waiting to receive cards from the RSGB Bureau, and the Spanish Bureau has been upgraded.
Rick Hambley W2GPS reported that AMSAT held a symposium locally and that there is difficulty in it's ability reach international agreement to launch satellites.
Dennis Bodson W4PWF, Roanoke Division Director stated that the LOTW problem with certificates had been resolved and that VUCC on LOTW as well as on-line DXCC field checking is still in progress.
The President then turned to the matter of annual election of Officers and having failed to appoint a Chairman of the Nominating Committee he opened the floor for nominations and also noted that the current officers agreed to continue in service for another year if elected. There were no further nominations and the nomiations were closed. The current officers upon a voice vote were elected by acclamation to serve until the next Annual meeting. The following officers were elected: President: Dick Maylott, W2YE, Vice President: John Kanode, N4MM, Treasurer: Brian Bayus, N1KC and Secretary: George Vincent, K3GV.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 PM.
