Why did the LCARA page move from kalama.com to QSL.NET?

I first learned about QSL.NET from the "Digital Dimension" article on page 79 of the January 1999 issue of QST Magazine. It spoke of free server space for pages related to amateur radio. Alan Waller, K3TKJ funds the site along with contributions from its users. I had been thinking of moving the page because of the amount of server space I was using at kalama.com. Not that the LCARA page uses too much space but added to the other pages I work on, well, I was expecting to hear from them telling me I had used up my alloted 5 megs. Thinking that free space was too good to be true I decided to check it out to see. It was true so I applied for space and got it. I would encourage you to check out the main QSL.NET page and see what they have to offer. If you've thought about doing your own page but didn't have the server space, well, there's no excuse now.

If you should discover a link that isn't working or a graphic that is missing, it's probably something that I didn't get loaded onto the new server so please let me know.

By the way, if you like having this page around, why don't you join me in sending a donation to Al to show your appreciation. As you can imagine this is an expensive operation for him and although donations are not required, I'm sure any amount would be appreciated.

Thanks... Marc, NC7P
