Call to Order:
President, Wally called the meeting to order at 7:30pm (pdt).
There were 11 members in attendance.

Pledge of Allegiance:
The Pledge of Allegiance was made by all.

Guests:
None.

Reading of the Minutes:
Minutes of 10/4/06 were approved with corrections.

Officers’ Reports—Treasurer:
Bob, KB7ADO distributed the Treasurer’s Report. Figures from the CoffeeStop will show up next time. Investments are down quite a bit. Motion made to approve Treasurer’s Report. Seconded. Approved.

Correspondence: On revisiting Brian’s, KJ7OX, trade offer for reimbursement as discussed at last meeting, Bob received 2 checks from Brian—1 for shipping costs and 1 for the $150. Brian is bringing an HF multi-band vertical antenna, an R-6000, this Sunday to the Clubhouse. He wants to trade this antenna. Which trade do we want to accept? <Discussion followed> We will table this discussion until Brian can be here.

Board of Directors’ Report:
None

Old Business:
Bob says that at one of our spring meetings, a second rotator was voted on to be repaired. We should write a check tonight for this rotator, and he’ll pick it up to have it here on Sunday to have it working by next weekend for the “CQ Worldwide DX SSB” contest. <Discussion followed>

It was brought up that Connie, KB7AYY, had made the Christmas dinner reservations with the Rose Tree in Castle Rock. Date is December 16th with dinner at 7:00pm.  Social Hour time TBA.

Wally, W7MU says this year is drawing to a close meaning it’s time for elections. We will have nominations opening up in November. Elections will be held December 16th at the dinner. Ray, K7AA asked if we have a Nominating Committee? Wally says that it’s optional in the By-Laws. The first November meeting falls on the 1st of the month, and the second meeting is on the 15th. We only have one meeting in December, which is the 16th at the Rose Tree. Both November meetings will be open for nominations. Earl’s slot on the Board of Directors will be opening as well.

Bob says the Kenwood TS-520 has no filters—they are scarce. $142.80 is what they cost, and Bob has paid for them. They are being mailed from England and should be here for the “CQ DX” contest. Rob, WA7ROB made a motion to reimburse Bob for the cost of the filters. Motion seconded and carried.

New Business:
None.

Good of the Order:
Bob announced that some time ago, he loaned a Laptop to Pacific County Amateur Radio Group, and they have informed him the hard drive crashed. He would like to replace that one with the extra computer on the worktable here, if no one objects. There were no objections.

Motion made to adjourn. Seconded, and Carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:16pm.

Respectfully submitted:

Judi--KD7GZR, Secretary
