The meeting was called
to order by President Wally at
1930.
Wally led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance
There were no new
guests this meeting (we did have Tere’s
daughter—Michele-- who was new the last meeting)
Bob, KB7ADO reports that the investments are
doing fine.
The club received two QSL cards – one from
China and one from the Snohomish ARC (they wanted our club’s QSL so
they sent a
self-addressed, stamped envelope). We
also received some bills and a copy of the Rocking Chair – the
newsletter of
the Clark County Amateur Radio Club.
Brian, KJ7OX, had nothing at this time to
report.
Brian sent off the club’s
main station to be repaired.
Randy, NU7D, mentioned
that we still have until 30SEP2006
to complete emergency worker training modules.
Information is available online at the FEMA website.
Bob updated the club’s
insurance for a total chard of
$442.00 per annum to cover a total equipment value of $29,000.00.
Steve, K7SDH,
questioned if the repeater audio was still
sensitive. The answer was “yes” and that
Day Wireless would come and adjust it sometime in the future.
Randy reported that
the fair booth went well and Connie,
KB7AYY, thanked all who participated.
Stu, K7WF, mentioned
that the fair was a complete waste
of time, as people did not seem interested in HAM radio.
Discussion followed inquiring as to what
could be done to increase interest.
Randy mentioned that
the National Night Out was a success
and that there were many participants and much food.
It was well attended by public agencies.
It was brought up that
there would be a coffee stop on
20-22SEP2006 from 7:30am to 8:30pm at the rest stop north of Castle
Rock. There was much discussion as to who
was
organizing it. Ed, N7CFA would be
contacted to formulate a plan. A sign up
sheet was passed around after the meeting for people to sign up.
Randy mentioned that there
would be a Mass Casualty Incident Drill scheduled for this Saturday,
09SEP2006. The communications van will
be at the Kalama Fire Station between 8:00-8:15am.
Randy also mentioned
that Steve Reddington will be
putting on a CPR and First Aid class at the Rizad building on Thursday
14SEP2006
at 7:00pm. It is free.
Judi, KD7GZR,
mentioned that there would be an NTS class
held in Chehalis. More to follow.

wife was having some medical problems and that she’s doing OK.

articles of clothing with the SAR and sheriff’s office logo.

Earl, N7OPW was involved in a
head-on collision and is recovering well.
Stu brought up that
Jerry, W7BUN is now “SK”. He was a very
active HAM who started the Swap
Net. It was mentioned that he was a
Collins aficionado.
The meeting was adjourned around 8:15PM.
