Family:

Let me first introduce you to my wonderful family, starting from left to right is my daughter Katie, wife, Lou Ann, myself, and my son, Bobby. Katie is 14 years old and attends the 8^th grade at Quincy Junior High. Bobby is 12 years old and is in the 6^th grade at Baldwin West school. My wife Lou Ann works at and is our resident toy expert. 

Where I went to school and where I work:

I went to school in beautiful Blacksburg Virginia at Virginia Tech where I received my Electrical Engineering degree and went on to graduate school in Industrial Engineering. While in school I worked at the College radio station WUVT and later became a contract engineer for WPUV and WPSK-FM in Pulaski Virginia. After college I began my career with the Broadcast Division of   Corporation in Quincy Illinois. I started my career as a Test Engineer and later became a Manufacturing Engineer working primarily on new product introductions. One of these new products, the Platinum� series Solid State VHF Module stuck, and I moved into production management where I am now a Manufacturing Team Manager responsible for the assembly and test of all Television products.  I also have responsibility for the Boards, Modules, and Cables areas which support our TV, AM, and FM product lines.

The picture to the right is the Sutro Tower. This is the primary broadcast tower serving the San Francisco area. I had absolutely nothing to do with this tower but think it is a really nice image!

Professional Activities:

• Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
• Member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
• Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Hobbies:

• I enjoy Amateur Radio and hold my Amateur Extra license, N9KUT. I am an active member of the Western Illinois Amateur Radio Club where I currently serve as treasurer and as a member of the repeater board. I also belong to The Society of Midwest Contesters, 10-10 International, the Big Dog Contesting Club, and the ARRL.

• Relaxing in our 21' Mariah on the mighty, but often muddy Mississippi River.

• Working on the basement, which is far from complete, but my wife forced me to say this.
