Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
Fermilab is short for Fermi National Accelerator
Laboratory. We are the High Energy Physics research
laboratory where the particles known as Quarks were
discovered. The main Fermilab web pages (at http://www.fnal.gov) have lots
of very interesting information about the lab and what goes on
here. The club station here has been on the air for many
years. I am the club's QSL manager. I try to operate
10 Meters from the club station on my lunch hours at least two
days a week. It's fun to be able to hand out two contacts
(my call and the club call) as I work the band. We're
located about 30 miles west of Chicago.
Fermilab: "We smash atoms, so you don't have
to" :-)
