I got my Hensley Paddle on Friday 13th (SN.006). (Actually Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for me). I have had mine for a week now and really have enjoyed using this paddle. Not only is it the best looking paddle I have ever seen but also is ever bit as nice to operate as it is to look at.

I use a soft touch when operating a paddle and like a close setting of the contacts. With the Hensley Paddle I have been able to adjust the contacts to a close spacing which I have not been able to even come close to duplicating with any other paddle. Adjustment of the magnet gaps and contact spacing has allowed me to achieve just the right feel for my type of sending which I also have not able to duplicate with any other paddle.

I have used this Paddle on the air for a week now and the more I use it the more I like it. It is now my main Paddle of use. In fact it has spoiled me so much that I won't use anything else. No I don't own a Mercury Paddle but do own a Schurr Profi which now resides on my bookshelf alongside others.

One other thing I would like to mention is communicating with Donald both in E-mail and on the phone has really been a pleasure. Not only was Donald helpful and responsive to my many questions before my purchase of the Hensley paddle but also in his follow through and concern after I had already received the paddle. Which believe me nowadays is very rare.

If your in the market for a first rate paddle you at least owe it to yourself to talk to Donald before making a decision.
