The Illinois Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES®) is a service provided by the Illinois Section of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the national organization for amateur radio. Will County is in the Northeast District of the Illinois Section of the ARRL. The Illinois Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC) is Robert "Pat" Ryan, KC6VVT. 2) ARES® is noted where there is an ARES® organization in operation. If affiliation with ARES is unknown but emergency communication is known to occur then Emergency is listed.

3) (county) denotes a frequency used for county nets, and (local) denotes a frequency used for local nets in a particular area shown by the (location) noted next to the frequency.
