Hello, and welcome to my first attempt at producing a home/web page. Name here is Don, and I have been an Amateur since '92 and presently hold an Advanced class liscense. I am a member of the Teays Amateur Radio Club, where I enjoy club activities with our growing membership.
My HF rig is a Yaesu FT 990, which I have had for the past 2 years and enjoy very much. I am usually found on 40 or 80 meters in the evening and late at night on CW in the Novice portion of the bands. I truely enjoy the contacts with those who want to "Chew the Rag" for a while as opposed to "Call, Name, PSE/QSL, 73's".
I am also a lifelong Quarter Horse owner / rider, and over the years have enjoyed trail riding, as well as competing in events such as Horsemanship, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Flag Racing, Team Roping etc.
I am married to my wonderful wife Becky, and we have two Perfect Daughters, Tamma and Jennifer, and one superior Granddaughter Lacey. Both girls have been active in 4-H, and Grandpa and Grandma are looking forward to Lacey starting to ride / show in the near future. Becky is an RN at the local hospital, and I am an employee of the local telephone company where I have been employed since '73.
E-Mail me with your thoughts and / or suggestions.
