My New Family

Home Page

JANET  BOB
  Mary

This is a site for family and friends to see how my daughter Mary, that I adopted from China in October of 2001, is growing so check it now and check it often.

We also would like to sell a few things specifically for those that have and are adopting from China as well as other countries.  We would like to earn enough money to adopt again in about 2 years so Mary will have a little sister also from China.

Who I am and what I do.

I have been a Ham /Amateur Radio operator since about 1989 working mostly on 2 meters.  I have been a trustee of the local Cincinnati Repeater Association for about 10 years.  I work as a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital and have been in this field for over 12 years now.  I am currently engaged to Bob Boehm/K8YS and we are planning on getting married sometime late summer or early fall of 2002.

I started the paper chase to my daughter in March of 2000 and sent my papers to China August 8, 2000.  After over a long year of waiting, I finally received my referral for my daughter August 18, 2001.  To see her referral pictures, click on "Mary's Page" below.  I then was given travel permission and on October 17, 2001 we, Bob and I, started our trip of a lifetime to China.  To read about our trip, click on " Trip to China " below.

To help pay for possibly adopting another daughter in about 2 years, we are making blankets with the children's names on them in American or Chinese, panties with "Made in China" on them, sweaters that are plain or with a ladybug, plates with the Chinese name, and flags (design yet to be decided). We are making these for others that have and those that are in the process of adopting from China. We are not limiting ourselves to China, so we are open to other counties as well.
