This past July, Barb and I had the opportunity to visit the Alaskan Birdhouse and Wildlife Museum at PIB.  We had driven by many times over the years but this time we stopped in to take a look around. We were not disappointed. Along with a small group of other visitors,  we were treated to one of the on-going narrated tours by owners, Stan and JoAn Wulkowicz.  We learned what was fact and what was fiction about the North American fish, birds and mammals on display. There are over 50 species of birds and many fish , including King Salmon, Halibut, Lake Trout , Irish Lord and Arctic Char. Mammals encompass Timber Wolf, Black Bear Canada Lynx, Grizzly, Mountain Lion and Sitka Deer. Bring your camera for a most informative and educational tour at a nominal fee of only $3.00. Shown below are some pictures we took while on our tour. Enjoy!
