Most recent addition to the shack is the Embedded Research Tick EMB keyer. This kit got me back into using Bencher paddles again after many years of using just a straight key. It has also helped me increase my code speed by allowing me to keep up with faster and faster operators. This keyer has "one-button" operation and holds two separate 50 character messages for contesting, etc.
PSK31
Just got the Lectrokit PSKI interface kit in the mail. It looks really neat and should work well with my IC-735 and old 386 PC to get PSK31 going. I will let you know.
Update: 11/24/00- Old 386SX PC's don't cut it for PSK31! You need at least a 100 Mhz Pentium processor and Windows 95 or 98. I have tried a couple freeware programs and like the newest version of Digipan the best. The Lectrokit interface module is ready to mount in an enclosure. I'm really anxious to get it completed and try it out. Just need more free time!
I recently ordered a PSK 80 Warbler PSK31 transceiver kit from the NJ QRP Club. They expect to ship the kits in early December. I saw a completed kit from the first kit run at the Fort Wayne Hamfest on 11/18/00. This will be a Christmas Holiday project.
