WW8WV

My name is Jeremy Lewis and I have been a HAM operator since February of 2000. I currently hold an Extra class license and plan to further my knowledge of the radio hobby.  I am a member of the Plateau Amateur Radio Club.  My equipment as of now consists of an Icom 2100H, an Alinco DR605TQ, a  Yaesu FT 101ZD with an Astatic D104 mic, Heathkit HW-12 and HW-22A monobander's and an Icom 718 with MFJ 941E.  I also have a Ten Tec Omni-D with external VFO, power supply, Ten Tec antenna tuner and amplified mic.  My other future plans include the raising of an "antenna farm" hihi, the purchase of an amplifier and to just increase my knowledge of radio's.

The Plateau Amateur Radio Club has two repeaters on the air.  The first is located on Gauley Mountain near the town of Anstead.  This repeater is the NM8T 146.790 machine with a negative offset. The antenna is up 200 feet on a local cell phone tower.  The other repeater is also located on Gauley Mountain near the town of Anstead and is the NM8T 147.075 repeater with a negative offset.  The club also has an APRS digi on the mountain (KC8CON-3), a paket station (PARC) along with a DAREN node.

Me and Juddie(KC8CON)working PSK...I am at the controls but Juddie is the expert:

I like to operate 2 meters, 70cm and Six meters but I would have to say that my favorite is HF.  The other bands are just a convenience now that I have my HF ticket.  I enjoy 40, 20 and 10 meters although I also like to monitor 75 meters, it's "wide open" so to speak.  I would have to say that the extent of my DX has been on 10 meters.
