I am a trained severe weather spotter and a member of the Weather
Amateur Radio Network (WARN)
for the Cincinnati (Tri-State) area.
The WARN net meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm local on the 146.880 repeater. This is the frequency you should have when severe weather threatens the Tri-State area. The wide-area FARA repeater 145.190 is used when wide-area coverage is needed. In the Dayton/Miami Valley Area 146.640 is used.
I received my Worked All States (WAS) award # 43,738 for 10
Meter SSB on July 17, 1989.
I received my "We The People" WAS on October 20, 1988
I was awarded First Place in the ARRL 10 Meter Contest for Single
Operator Technician Class Phone Only
