Thanks for visiting the N7UF web site. My transceiver is an Icom 745
with an Icom 2KL 500W amplifier...the antenna a ground-based GAP
Titan multi-band vertical. I'm 66 years old and have been a ham 52
years. I was first licensed in 1947 as W7KUE and later as W6ARZ.
I became serious about DXing in 1997 and have managed to work 260
countries since that time..not bad for an old timer with antiquated
equipment and a simple antenna! However, my greatest pleasure is
meeting other DXers. What a great bunch of people.
I'm now semi-retired and self-employed as a part-time installer of
two-way radios in commercial vehicles. As a younger man I was a
commercial telegraph operator and still hold a 1st Class Radiotelegraph
ticket. Prior to retirement I spent several years cruising the oceans
in a 42 ft sailboat. My very best to you and your family in the years
ahead. Good luck and good DX. 73's, Ken.
