"N7RD's Shack"

This is where I spend most of my evenings and any spare time my XYL allows. The main rig is a IC-756 pro2, the backup rig is a FT-920. I run a Ameritron 811H when the extra punch is needed, just for the new ones! I use a Bencher BY-1, plus the antenna is a Hy-Gain Model TH3-Mk3 "Thunderbird" which the bang for the buck is one of the best small yagis on the market. While on a standard size lot it's just perfect. It has 8 db min gain and a front to back ratio of 20-25 db. For the WARC bands I have a inverted vee multi band dipole which seems to preform well for me. For computer logging I have used Logger32 for the past 12 years and have found it to be a wonderful program. I would suggest it to anyone for any type of operating, from DXing to contesting. I have thousands of QSL cards but still use the ARRL outgoing system yearly and I upload all of my logs to LOTW 100%. I still go after the cards from the new ones I work but other than that only answer those that are sent to me. Just running out of places to put the cards! I will attach some photos below and hope you enjoy looking. I enjoy being on other hams web sites, this keeps me learning and coming up with new ideas each day. Enjoy the site and be sure to sign my guest book and leave your web site url so I can visit you too.
