Digital Fun!
In the early years it was SSB and 2-meters, but eventually I became curious about packet radio on 2-meters. Digital communications has always been a lot of fun for me.
Peaking around the TNC program I determined there were other things I could do on H-F with the gear I had! That lead to RTTY, Amtor, WeFax, FEC and other digital modes.
No matter what I do on the digital modes, it seems I always return to RTTY. That may be because I was a Radioman in the U-S Navy and operated teletype aboard the U-S-S Clarion River.
Today RTTY seems to be the mode of choice among many who are re-discovering this means of communications. It's quick and easy to make contacts.
I try not to miss the annual ARRL RTTY contest the beginning of each year. Hope to print you there some day.
