ALL INVITED - Scouts, cubs, parents... More info: Alan Schauer (330) 289-4239 450,000 Scouts will be on the air! We will be operating our amateur radio station, W8B, from Friday through Sunday. Most activity worldwide will be on Saturday and Sunday. This is a great chance for Scouts to learn about other cultures and make new friendships. It's also a fun entree to electronics, radio merit badge, a ham radio license and even solar physics! We're at the top of the 11-year sunspot cycle this year, so we're expecting to meet a large number of scouts all over the globe. In addition to the always popular "voice" mode, we'll be doing some morse code, keyboard-to-keyboard communications, satellites (!) and even slow-scan television! Please drop by anytime during the weekend; click here for a map. Our phone number (before and during) is 289-4239.
