Hello! My name is Bill. I live in Norman, OK. I am married toRei Yun (Susie) and am the
Secretary of SCARS, the local Amateur Radio Club.
Before you ask what Canada has to do with this I had best tell you
the South Canadian River runs on the south side of Norman.

We operate VHF and UHF Repeaters on 147.060 and 443.700. The SCARS membership runs between 80 - 100 members. We meet at 9:30 AM on the second Saturday of each month at Fire Station #7 near Westheimer Airport. Our main activities include Field Day and a Special Event Station during 89'r Day.

Norman is the home of the Univ. of Oklahoma. The National Weather Service
and Severe Storm Labs also have large facilities here. Being in the heart of "Tornado Alley"
we get our share of severe weather, often enough to enable Skywarn and Emergency Nets.
Storm Spotting and AmateurRadio go hand in hand.
