Who is this N5PIP fella ?

My name is Stirling Gosa. I was born in London, England, U.K. to an American father and an English mother. My father was in the U.S. Navy and we traveled worldwide until finally settling in Irving, Texas. (Yes, I spoke with a Texas/Limey accent for quite a few years but fortunately it is now just a "Texas Drawl").

I became a ham in 1987 with the Novice call KB5IQL and kept it until I upgraded to General when I became N5PIP. I decided to keep the call even when I moved to Florida in 1990 and upgraded to Advanced. N5PIP just has a nice sound on CW.

I have a wonderful wife, 5 children, and 2 grandchildren. All of whom keep me hopping but also are quite supportive of my hobby. My wife even likes the look of all the aluminum and towers around the house!!!!

I am employed in the environmental remediation industry, which means that I help to get all the nasty stuff out of the ground and groundwater.

Besides Amateur Radio I also enjoy fishing, bowling, golf, and old cars.

Enough of this boring stuff, take me back to the MAIN PAGE
