Here we go on a virtual tour of my amateur radio hobby. Operating from my QTH in Raleigh, NC,
you may be lucky enough to catch me on one of many 2 Meter frequencies in the area. My primary
band of operation is 2 Meters, but occasionally I slip over to the 70 cm area. I recently
purchased a Yaesu FT-51R Dual-Band HT which allows me to take my hobby mobile. I have discovered
that HT's can be difficult to work with in the mobile setting. So many antenna cables, power
cables, speaker microphones, etc to connect and disconnect. Even once everything is connected
correctly, the volume from the speaker mic leaves much to be desired. Mobile amateur radio
makes rush-hour traffic slightly more bearable. Thank you for visiting with me, please come back
