Aloha.  Thank you for visiting the N4SIX Homepage.  My name is Chris and N4SIX is my amateur radio call sign issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  My station is located on the Schofield Barracks Army Base, Hawaii; home of the 25th Infantry Division (Light).  I am a Staff Sergeant on active duty with the Army and serve as the Logistics NCOIC for the US Army Criminal Investigations Command (CID) which is also located on Schofield Barracks.  We support the division with criminal investigations of all felony crimes against the US Army and it's soldiers and families.

I have been here in Hawaii with my wife Sara, NH7YL since April 1998.   I have operated must of my tour with the call sign AH6TM but since I recently came down on orders to move to Fort Bragg, NC; home of the 82nd Airborne Division,  I decided to apply for a new call sign through the vanity program.  The call sign was approved just before Christmas 2000 and I received the license just before New Years.

In March 2001, we will depart paradise for the east coast, from one ocean to another.  We are planning on flying the "red-eye" on the 21st from Honolulu to Los Angeles, CA and driving across country.  We are driving part instead of flying all the way for many reasons, sightseeing is one of the big reasons, but there is also an awful lot of grid squares we can activate and counties to run along the way.  Look for us on 40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2 meters during our trip.
