FALLS LAKE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

Saturday 21 May 1991.

A group of local Amateur Radio operators came together with the intent to form a club with dual goals. First being public assistance, and second to sponsor an annual SwapFest. After motions, lengthy discussions, and votes, Falls Lake Amateur Radio Club emerged.

Public assistance has been, such as, Desert Storm Troops Homecoming, Christmas Parades, Anniversary Celebrations, Missing persons searches, Hallow'een Spook Patrol, Severe Storms, Hurricane and Tornado disasters.

The first SwapFest was held 27 September 1992 with NO CHARGE for admission, tables, parking, dealer or flea market spaces.

Ninth Annual SwapFest, 17 September 2000 continues to be
FREE OF CHARGE.

Meet Monthly, 1st Tuesday at 1900 hrs.

TRI-COUNTY ARES members, (formerly GRANVILLE CO. ARES), are from
FALLS LAKE ARC & GRANVILLE ARS.
