Next Meeting: January 26, 2012 after 7:31 PM Location: White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary, NC. (Directions to meeting location). Program: World Class Antennas For anyone wishing to get Charlotte Hamfest (3/10-11) pre-reg tickets: Tickets will be acquired by the Club at $7 ea. Sign up/pre-pay up at the January meeting. The tickets will be available at the February CARC meeting. Skywarn Training: Skywarn training will be offered at the February 23 meeting.

Club Information

The Cary Amateur Radio Club meets the fourth Thursday of the month at approximately 7:31 p.m. White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, NC (directions). Our November and December meetings are combined at the end of November or the beginning of December for a family Holiday gathering. The target date is the Thursday after Thanksgiving, but subject to change due to availability of a meeting location.

Anyone interested in amateur radio is invited to join us. Our $10 annual dues are due each year in March.

A Message from the President

Announcements

• The President's Message has been updated as of 2/7/11.
• Annual Dues are reduced to $10 for 2010-2011. They are due in March.
• The Democratic National Convention in Charlotte in 2012 will be starting on Labor day. This may cause hotel issues and traffic issue with the 2012 Shelby hamfest in Dallas.

Activities

 The famous Swapfest the third Saturday in July   

 Providing communications for the annual Cary Band Day Parade in November   

 Member involvement in ARES and Skywarn   

 A family holiday dinner in late November or early December (Weather Permitting)
