I have enjoyed this hobby for many years. When I was just a lad, my cousin and I built crystal radios, experimenting with all types of 'magic coils' to receive the local am radio station in the small town in which we grew up.

Actually amateur radio started for me in 1958 in Nashville, Tenn. Where I held the call sign K4FOI
